Yikes, it's me!I would like to welcome you to my website. The creation of Fathom the Unknown is something I planned and began a long time ago. It gives me a much needed outlet from everyday life where I can share random thoughts and experiences.

In November 1965, I entered this world. I was born and raised in Virginia and, except for a five-year vacation in California, have lived there my entire life. It has been the simple life of a laid back treehugger. In my 40-something years of existence, I’ve had the opportunity to visit each of the continental states enjoying many of the natural places while they’re still around. In my travels, I have acquired a passion for the simple peace of nature.

In May 1997, I began college as a 30-something freshman. Being a little more focused than my teenage classmates, I took classes every semester and managed to graduate with two degrees in two years. My college experience was made more memorable by pledging a fraternity and never missing a basketball or field hockey game.

In August 2000, I returned to my alma mater to teach environmental science and coach field hockey. When I made the decision to become a teacher it was the only place I wanted to teach. It has been the most rewarding part of my life and, although I don’t coach any more, I am dedicated to educating future treehuggers. Hopefully, together we will be able to preserve nature for future generations.

Enjoy my website and feel free to share your comments about my random life.
